Johnny King

BFA Printmaking, Sonoma State, 2008.
Artist, Teacher.

About:  I am an artist, photographer, and teacher from Half Moon Bay, a small town just south of San Francisco.  I went to school at Sonoma State University, in Rohnert Park CA, and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art - Printmaking in 2008.  I knew I wanted to get into teaching after working with Kurt Kemp, Printmaking professor at Sonoma State.  After completing my BFA, I moved to Davis for a year and substitute taught K-12 (Woodland Joint Unified School District).  I moved to San Diego in 2010 and worked as the Outreach Educator for Lux Art Institute in Encinitas, CA for three years.  There I taught studio art to students of all ages, but worked more closely with grades K-6.  I have been the Studio Art and Photography Teacher at The Grauer School since the fall of 2013.  My fine art can be viewed at www.johnnykingart.com.  I also do graphic design work, most notably my football helmet designs being used for a few of Indiana University's football team helmets, starting in the 2013 season.

I do a variety of photography work, ranging from portraits, senior portraits, group portraits, action, etc.  If you are interested in my services, and if you have any questions or comments, please email me at johnny.i.king@gmail.com.
